This actually happened a couple of months ago. I had downloaded all the photos and was ready to post it but apparently I have short term memory and forgot about it. Maybe I should start taking Saint John's Wart. Isn't that supposed to help with memory? See, I can't remember. Anywho, I missed the actual race because I had to catch a plane to Jacksonville for a conference.
This was my favorite entry. Made by some of my favorite people. In case you are confused the red boxes at the bottom don't go in the water. They are there for presentation purposes only.
I'm not sure what this is supposed to be. I think maybe their creative juices were not flowing while designing this monstrosity. Yes, I do believe you will be needing that life vest.

I am so excited to have found your blog...you just don't know how much I've been looking for someone, anyone who lives in GTMO who blogs and can share pictures, experiences, everything about living on the base. We are moving there in September and I like knowing about where we're going so I can share it with my kids who are also getting sort of excited. Thanks for the great pictures and all the comments...this place sounds fantastic. Can't wait!!
Have you ever listened to the Sounds of Gitmo?

Long ago, we had these 45s from Don Knepp who was there in the sixties and made a half a dozen or more songs about Gitmo.
Hope you are still in operation.
Bill Lewis mentioned Don Knepp.
Don is alive and well and singing
barbershop music in Colorado Springs.
I am his brother and he will hear about this site shortly.
