Banana Watch - Day 90

I am happy to report the bananas are still hanging on.  This would not be the case if it had not fallen onto another banana tree.

I am even happier to report they are starting to turn yellow.

Don't worry now. That's not a ghost in the left section of the photo. There was a dog hair on my lens.

Probably from this little stinker.

The View - not the one on television

I love eating at the Bayview Restaurant. I guess you can see why.

Banana Watch - Day 79

This bunch of bananas is taking its sweet time. Come on already.  So now we have a problem. A big problem. A problem so big my hopes and dreams of delicious banana creations may come to an end.

Jerry and I decided to have lunch at the house this afternoon. Just prior a nice thunder storm rolled through bringing high winds and rain. We were sitting at the dining table, as proper people do at lunch, and Jerry looked out and noticed this terrible site.

It looks as though it is barely hanging on. The problem is the banana tree has fallen onto another banana tree, crushing it. We really need to chop down the banana tree to save the other. But those beautiful bananas would have to be picked prematurely and ripen off the vine.

Even Turbo is dismayed.

GTMO Fishing

If you didn't know already, fishing in GTMO is quite amazing. The Marines caught another shark last weekend. It freaks me out when they catch shark but I figure it's one less I have to worry about. It's not just fish that get caught.

Poor eel. Just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

This is a puffer fish. Eating these is a bad idea. They have a poisonous sac. If you eat any of the poison you are one dead doornail.

The kids love to tag along.
